The researchers, led by Dr. Enkarna Agkouago from the Technical University of Cartagena , looked natural ( unpasteurized ) watermelon juice , watermelon juice fortified with additional L- citrulline and a drink without L- citrulline .

The drinks were administered to a group of volunteers one hour after a workout.
Both the natural juice , and the enriched seemed to soothe the pains of exercise. However, L- citrulline natural juice has appeared to be afximeniviodiathesimotita , that existed in a form which could be more easily used by the body .

Experts believe that the natural juice exerts this action because components accelerates the removal of lactic acid from the muscles.
This is important because the accumulation of lactic acid can cause burning sensation in the muscles and make them sore .

The LDL is the form of cholesterol that leads to a narrowing of the coronary arteries and heart disease .
